Our Story

Cooking that feelslike coming home.

I'm Mira — a home cook, mom of two, and the person tasting every recipe before it lands here. Sunny Spoon Kitchen is my love letter to weeknight dinners, slow Sundays, and the joy of feeding the people you love.

Mira, the home cook behind Sunny Spoon Kitchen

Mira K.

Founder · Recipe Developer · Chief Taster

Hi, and welcome. This little corner of the internet is built on one idea: everyday cooking should feel joyful and doable — not stressful, fussy, or Pinterest-perfect.

Sunny Spoon started as a shared Google Doc full of typos that my friends kept asking for. Eventually it turned into something bigger — a place to share the recipes that have earned permanent spots in our weekly rotation.

Every recipe here is tested in my own home kitchen, usually multiple times, and approved by my (sometimes brutally honest) family tasters. If a recipe doesn't earn rave reviews from at least three out of four of them, it doesn't make it onto the blog.

"Great cooking doesn't require expensive ingredients, hours of prep, or a degree from culinary school — just curiosity, patience, and a good sharp knife."
— Mira, on her cooking philosophy

Most recipes use ingredients you can find at any grocery store, take 30 minutes or less, and feed a family of four for under $15. We honor the seasons, support real food, and celebrate the small daily ritual of feeding the people we love.

Sometimes that means a sheet pan dinner on a hectic Tuesday. Sometimes it means a long, slow Sunday roast. There's room for both — and room for you here, exactly as you are.
